The original "HTC Sense" interface works marvels and simplifies all your daily activities on the phone. This feature certainly gives it an edge over i-phone and Nokia N series. The browser of the Hero has broader media screening alternatives as it supports flash applications. The Hero's 3.2 inch HVGA touch screen is a happiness to manage and the display images are affluent, crisp and sharp. The brightness of the screen is automatically adjusted by the in-built light anteena. The HTC Hero comes with a 2 GB SD card and supports up to 8 GB. On the whole the design of the Hero is sleek and contemporary.

With Hero, HTC has also fallen into all too familiar hazards. The 5 mbps camera is not great and the zooming controls mounted on the trackball makes it clumsy to manage. Full blown use of each applications in the Hero would result in a dead battery before the end of the day. And for the radiation conscious the SAR (Radiation) rating of 1.13 is fairly on the higher side.
